HAPPY MEAL TOY DISPLAY

This was a group class project to create a large scale in-restaurant display, Happy Meal box, beverage cup, fry box, burger wrappers, and nugget box for a theoretical McDonalds campaign.

Rob Dyrdek created cartoon, Wild Grinders, was chosen. We based the display off of combined scenes from the cartoon into a large urban skate session. Some large scale elements had to be recreated in vector to print to scale. Various characters and scenes are applied around the Happy Meal box and the food packaging. The display was created using thick foam core sheets and tiling the large prints on multiple 8x10 sheets of paper.

A 'create your own grind-rail' feature was added to one side of the box for children to insert their straw into. This would enable them to play and perform tricks with the character toys.

The project was well received by instructors and classmates. We even received some love from Wild Grinders cartoon artist, Tracy Tubera, on my Instagram posts.
